Inverse Normal Distribution
1. |
Calculating inverse normal distribution is much like calculating the normal distribution. The first thing you should do is press the '2ND' button on your calculator and then press the 'VARS' button which has the second function (the blue text above the button) of 'DISTR'. Once you have done this, you should see the screen shown to the right (or below if you are on a mobile device).

Enter the area TO THE LEFT of the value that you are attempting to calculate the inverse normal distribution for on your bell curve, then enter the mean in the 'μ' space and the standard deviation in the 'σ' space and then press the 'ENTER' button on your calculator once you have selected the 'Paste' option on the screen. For the purpose of this tutorial, I will be using 0.85 as my area, 20 as my mean and 15 as my standard deviation. Once you have entered the values and pressed the 'ENTER' button, you should see a screen similar to the one shown to the right (or below if you are on a mobile device).
